It only seems to lack a little passing power at highway speeds, but otherwise the engine is spirited and eager to please combined with the finely synchronized shifting of the 6 speed transmission.The 6 speed automatic transmission was a factor in my selection of the CX-5 (I am not yet a fan of CVT transmissions).
